Cody Currie is back with a new song on Toy Tonics. The London born, Berlin based keyboarder, producer, singer, DJ and man of great style is a lead artist of the German label by now. The 22 year old has released a few EPs that made him one of the probably most talked about newcomers in the new soulful house scene. „The Tom Misch of jazzy house“ they called him and maybe that description could fit. He plays most instruments himself, never uses samples, and the atmospheres he creates are unique.
For his new song he teamed up once more time with Eliza Rose. The London vocalist, DJ, producer and radio host already was featured on Cody Currie’s last single "Moves". After a couple of well received gigs they did together, jamming live on stage, they decided to do another song. And here it is: Eliza’s sweet voice correspends perfectly with Cody’s chords and warm rolling grooves. The Rhodes piano riff and that funky bassline stay in your head after just one time listening. The two London souls fit so well together. And both are just at the beginning of their carrier. Eliza Rose is going to release her solo debut EP in Spring 2022 and Cody has an album coming up in Winter 2022.
